Please don’t disown me! I’m sorry it’s been so long… but I will make up for it with cookies! Peanut Butter & Chocolate and Chocolate & Peanut Butter. We cool now? BFF’s for ever and ever??
I think I lost track of time with the 1,700 pies I baked for Thanksgiving and the packing and traveling and Christmas decorating. The busy fun things in life!
There is nothing like opening box upon box of Christmas decorations to find memory inducing items in each box. The nostalgia at Christmas is like no other time of year.
The Christmas Story book with Santa on the cover that dad has read every Christmas since before you could read yourself. The bell ornament you made out of an egg carton and aluminum foil in nursery school. The Mariah Carey Christmas album you received back when CD’s were new and cool… I won’t tell you that it was 20 Christmas’s ago when that was released!
On top of the fun and decorations Christmas always means cookies and baking to me. There is something about blasting a christmas movie and whipping frosting while smells of sweet butter float from the oven that can’t help but make you feel joyful.
If you want to win have fun at your cookie swap this year than be sure to bring a batch of these cookies. Happy Baking!!

Holy smoke! I may just have to make these over the weekend. What an idea to make these half and half!
I made these cookies yesterday and today – I think I got 6-7 decent-sized cookies. Not your traditional Christmas cookies but I’ll be using them for that purpose. Really good!
